(tell-us and siu kwong, looking into each other's eyes!)

this evening after work echo came and drove me to 'lim wan'... it's a secluded village in the middle of some huge trees, overlooking the gold coast. i like those village houses, where cats run between the gardens. i even saw bunny rabbits... we sat in the garden having dinner, while absorbing in the coastal late autumn breeze while seeing the gold coast hotel in the horizon. i was tired, wasn't so much like my usual self (well, it was my first time there) but it felt good. new.

it's funny how i was brought there. echo is the friend of claire who is the friend of heung, who is the friend of sophia, my irish friend from queen mary hosp when i was an intern. so i got introduced by one person to the other and then to the other and then to the other.... that was how i ended up in the vineyard in tm.

st. stephen's works for those in need. there are people who've been in and out of prison, those who are addicts and those who are homeless or workless, or skiving school. i got talking to echo in the car and those stories felt so far away, with people so unreachable whom i don't seem to understand. yet they were so near tonight. and we are all the same.

and there is one thing that has pulled us together....

sorry for not having written much recently. i've been busying with my CAT planning. i've been reading, planning my 'fieldtrips' and visiting catteries and talking to loadsssss of cat colleagues (my great colleagues who own cats) and bombarding them with details and more details. last but not least, my best buddy has 4 cats, hopefully i get to have more tips soon (hint hint)...

i rang my landlady up yesterday and asked if i could keep a little cat. she looks a little like mr m's mother and also has a similar voice to hers, and the accent too. she's ever so friendly, i really like her.. and i was so grateful, she's given me her approval... :) :) :)

then i rang the 'street cat welfare society', had a lovely chat with the lady in charge and i'm going to visit them this sunday after my DM class. the kittens are rather active by the sound of it, i don't know if she'll like my plain home, with white tiles white cupboards and white walls! but thankfully my cat colleagues (there are so many of them!) have been so helpful in answering all my stupid questions, even inviting me for several 'fieldtrip'... and really really thankfully, my family has been so supportive after days of saying 'betty you can't even handle yourself'....

i could feel my childhood dream coming true... meow.
and interestingly, i've started to pray for little milo......
